Old and new friends

Lunch was delicious. We sat outside sipping canas (small glasses of beer) and trying some local dishes. Luis had an ensalada de pollo with a very tasty sauce on top and sampled both Christine and Seb's dishes. I had a yummy ensalada de tomate y mozarela. After eating, we strolled over to a lovely park and sat in the shade talking and relaxing.

Seb had to go back to work so Luis and I went with Christine to pick up her kids at school. After we stopped at a local market, and the kids got some paletas. We headed to the Parque Oeste so they could run around. The park was really pleasant with lots of people laying out in the sun and relaxing. It was so good to see Christine, Rafa, Luca, Alejandra, and her husband Seb.
It also happened to be where the Temple of Debod is located. The temple was given to Spain by the Egyptians in appreciation for their help in conserving the Abu Simbel Temples. The temple is the counter part to the one in the Met in NYC. The temple arches were erected in a different order than how they were originally built.
